Maintenance Work

Our apologies if you'd been hoping to book Thurne View during May this year. We've spent quite a lot of time upgrading the interior with new electric radiators, a new boiler and other general repairs, but that means the exterior is now long overdue some attention, especially a much needed clean, sanding and a lick of paint. Thurne View is over 100 years old (at least parts of it are; there's definitely a hint of Trigger's Broom about it) but even so, the exceptionally wet last couple of years have taken their toll.

The plan is to refresh the paintwork to the original cream colour scheme typical of the older bungalows with green or blue highlight on the fascias and deck.

Inside, there'll be new fire doors and new locks on the river and pathside doors that can be opened from inside without the keys. A much safer type of lock in the event of an emergency.

In the meantime, if you'd like to book the fully refreshed bungalow for June onwards there are still dates available in the summer and August holidays!
